We are pleased to inform you about the Aroostook Right to Read Academic Scholarship. This scholarship was created to support a graduating high school student in pursuing their post-graduation goals. Students qualified to apply for this scholarship are those who are former Young Author winners.
We were established in 1978. It is our mission to promote literacy encompassing reading, writing, and speaking across the curriculum among students, educators, and parents.
Directors work to complete this mission in several ways. One of these ways is to encourage schools to participate in Reading Awareness activities as part of Reading Across Aroostook week in April. Students create bookmarks and the winners are then published and shared throughout every school during this week.
